Ara : Some armed miscreants slit throat of a man killing him on the spot at village Baruhi under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district. Later, they threw the body on the outskirt of the village and escaped on March 13, 2019, evening.

Irate villagers blocked the road near village Baruhi for about five hours with the body demanding arrest of the miscreants, a government job to the next of kin of the deceased, five decimal land for construction of house and a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to his family of the deceased. The blockade was lifted at about 11 pm after intervention and assurance of local MLA Sudama Prasad. Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as a mentally challenged Munna Ram, 30, son of Bangaru Ram of Baruhi.

SHO, Sahar police station, Harendra Kumar said that Munna Ram had gone to the market on March 12, 2019, evening, but did not return home till March 13 afternoon. His family member searched for him and found his body lying on the outskirt of the village on March 13 evening. The SHO further said that an FIR has been lodged with Sahar police station and police are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
