Youth kidnapped at Saharsa for Facebook comments, recovered

Saharsa : Over a dozen armed persons on March 9, 2017, kidnapped a youth Abhishekh from Bumfer Chowk, Saharsa,  for his comments on Facebook on certain matter. When his maternal uncle Rohit Jha tried to stop them from kidnapping Abhishekh, they shot at him  besides attacking him with a sharpedged weapon. When some other youth present there intervened in the matter, the miscreants also attacked and injured them.

All the injured persons were admitted to Saharsa Sadar hospital. On getting information, police reached the spot and inquired into the incident. Later, Sadar police station team conducted raids at several places to rescue Abhishekh and arrest the kidnappers. Police recovered Abhishekh  from a road near Dr Mullick’s clinic within hours of his kidnapping.

SHO, Sadar police station, Saharsa, Bhai Bharat said that police had arrested two persons in connection with Abhishekh’s kidnapping. One of them has been admitted to Sadar hospital for treatment.  An injured Rohit Jha, in his statement to police, has named Lalu Kumar of Panchvati Chowk, Jagga, Raja, Shivam, Munna, Rajiv and two more persons as accused.  The two arrested persons, in their statement police, claimed that Rohit Jha and his associates attacked and injured them first.
