Youth dies due to electrocution at Bhojpur village

Ara : A youth Pintu Paswan, son of Ram Prateek Paswaan, died due to electrocution at village Milki under Gajrajganj police outpost in Bhojpur district on April 8, 2017. The angry villagers blocked Ara -Buxar main road near Milki village for about three hours with the body of the deceased and paralysing the movement of vehicles. They burnt tyres on road and raised slogans against the officials of South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPFCL).

The villagers were demanding a compensation of Rs 10 lakh, a government job to a family member of the deceased and action against the officials concerned of the SBPDCL. The deceased was a resident of village Masardh under Udwantnagar police station and had gone to Milki for personal work. The blockade was lifted after positive response from police officials. Later, police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
