Saharsa : Police on May 27, 2017, recovered the body of an unidentified twenty year old Jeans and top clad girl wearing a golden colour shoe from the hyacinth at Dantranga ghat of Tilawe Dhar under Sonbersa Kutchery police station in Saharsa district. The criminals had killed her by slitting her throat. The recovery of the body has created sensation in the area.
The locals suspect that the girl was raped and then killed by the criminal. They also said the deceased did not belong to villages adjoining the place from where the body was recovered. They felt that she was an artist who had come here to perform at some programme.
Police sent the body to Saharsa Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. SDPO, Saharsa, Subodh Biswas, said that after post-mortem the body would be kept preserved for 72 hours as police were trying to identify the deceased.
