Patna : Water Resources Department (WRD) Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh on October 23, 2017, directed the Chief Engineers (CEs) of the department to complete all the schemes on time. The budget allocation of the department for the financial year 2017-18 is Rs 2,689.14 crore.
The Minister asked the Chief Engineers to review the progress of all the schemes at regional level and according decide their priority. WRD Minister Singh will review the progress of all the on going schemes on November 15 with the Chief Engineers. Principal Secretary, WRD, Arun Kumar Singh, asked the Chief Engineers to complete the tender process of all the anti-erosion schmes by November 30, 2017.
Engineer -in-Chief, Headquarters, Arun Kumar, Engineer -in-Chief, Iriigation, Ram Pukar Ranjan, and Engineer -in-Chief, Flood Control, Rajesh Kumar were also present on the occasion.
