World No 2 Shi Yuqi beats World No 3 Chen in BWF World Tour Finals

Patna : World No 2 Shi Yuqi, 22, China, beat World No 3 Chou Tien Chen, 28, Taiwan, in straight games in his third round robin match in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Would Tour Finals at Guangzhou, China, December 14, 2018.

Yuqi beat Chen 21-17, 21-19 in 41 minutes at Tianhe Gymnasium, Guangzhou. Yuqi won 42 rallies in the match to 36 by Chen. He also 5 consecutive points to 4 by Chen during the match. Yuqi now leads Chen 4-2 head to head. Yuqi had beaten World No 6 Son Wan Ho, South Korea, on December 12, 2018, and World No 7 Anthony Sinisuka Jinting, Indonesia, on December 13. Yuqi was silver medallist at 2018 world championship at Nanjing, China.
