Ara : A woman was shot at and injured at Ramdihal Tola in Jogata Panchayat under Chandi police station (PS) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on Janjuary 13, 2022, late evening. She was admitted to a private nursing home at Babu Bazaar, Ara.
The injured was identified as Mala Kumari alias Varsha Kumari, 22, daughter of Bijendra Singh and Urmila Devi, Ward Member of Ward No 1 of Jogata panchayat under Koelwar block. An FIR has been lodged with Chandi police station (PS) in this connection and police are investigating the matter.
Mala Kumari said that she was returning home to have dinner on January 13, 2022, late evening, when she heard some voice of quarrel and so she went to the roof of the house where a bullet hit her and she was seriously injured. But it was not clear as to who fired on her and why. Her brother Ravi Shankar, a senior JAP leader, said that he was in his field when someone informed him that his sister was shot at and injured.
