Woman shot at and injured at Sitamarhi village

Sitamarhi : Two unidentified bike borne criminals shot at and seriously injured Rina Devi, a resident of village Bhup Bhairo under Sitamarhi town police station, on December 1, 2018, night, when she was sleeping on the verandah of her house. The criminals fired three bullet on her of which two hit the wall while one hit Rina Devi. She was admitted to a nursing home at Sitamarhi in critical condition.
According SHO, Sitamarhi Town police station,  S B Singh,  two blank bullets have been recovered from the place of occurrence site and further investigation is underway. Protracted land dispute appears to be the cause of incident; added SHO Singh.
Police are yet to arrest any accused.
