Woman set ablaze at in-law’s place, dies

Muzaffarpur: A 25 year woman Shobha Devi, wife of Lallan Mullick, was set ablaze at her in-laws’ place at village Hardi under Kathaiya police station in Muzaffarpur district allegedly for dowry. She succumbed to her burn injuries at Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, on November 14 late night. Shobha’s father has lodged an FIR with police against eight persons including Lallan Mullick in connection with her death. The body was handed over to deceased’s father after post-mortem.  SSP, Muzaffarpur, Vivek Kumar has ordered for stern action against the accused. SHO, Kathaiya police station, Sanjay Prasad, said police were investigating the case. All the accused are absconding though.
