Woman killed for not meeting demand for car by in-laws

Ara :  A married woman Pratima was killed for a car in dowry at village Khiriao under Kachchhawaha police imastation in  Rohtas district on December 27, 2016. A named FIR has been lodged with Kachchhawaha police station against four persons: Munna Sah, Raju Bharati, husband of deceased, Mamata Devi and Santosh Sah on the statement of her father, Jokhan Sah but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

SHO, Kachchhawa police station, Mukesh Kumar said that Pratima, daughter of Jokhan Sah, was married to Raju Bharati of Khiriao village on January 26, 2016, and since then her in-laws were torturing her physically and mentally merely for a car and when their demand was not fulfilled, theytied a rope around her neck,hanged her with the ceiling and killed her.
