Sasaram: An FIR was lodged with Kargahar police station in Rohtas district against five persons on Saturday in connection with murder of a married woman on the statement of her mother of the deceased but no arrest has so far been made in this regard. The FIR was lodged against Diwakar Singh, deceased’s husband, Navin Singh and Chandan Singh, brothers-in-law, Ram Niwas Singh, father-in-law and Kalawati Devi, mother-in-law. SHO, Kargahar police station, Binod Kumar, said that Ramala Devi, wife of Janeshwar Singh of village Bharkhar in Kaimur district, complained that she had married her daughter to Diwakar Singh, son of Ram Niwas Singh of Sirisiya village under Kargahar police station in 2005 and since then her in-laws tortured her for a Bolero in dowry. When their demands were not fulfilled, they killed her daughter and threw the body in a pond at Kargahar on Thursday, she alleged.
