Bagaha: Rinku Devi, 22, wife of Sudhir Chaudhary of village Serawa-Bhurahawa under Chiutaha police station in Bagaha police district was allegedly stragulated to death for dowry on June 14, 2018, night. Police said prima facie it appears Rinku Devi was stragulated to death by her in-laws for not bringing adequate dowry.
SHO, Chiutaha police station, R K Gautam brought the body over to Government Hospital, Bagaha, for autopsy. Kedar Chaudhary, father of the deceased, of village Jaralahiya under Naurangia police station in Bagaha police district, has lodged a case against her in-laws in this connection. Rinku Devi’s mother- in- law Nagina Devi has been arrested while other accused including her husband are absconding, the SHO said on June 15, 2018.
