Sasaram : A married woman was allegedly killed at her in-laws’ place at village Serana under Dinara police station in Rohtas district on May 13, 2017, for a motorcycle in dowry. Police sent the body to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. A named FIR has been lodged with Dinara police station against four persons including husband of the deceased Saroj Singh and father-in-law Ramayan Singh on the statement of her brother Bhupendra Kumar but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.
SHO, Dinara police station, Satish Kumar Singh, said that Bhupendra Kumar of village Kharhari in Rohtas district had got his sister Kiran Devi, 30, married to Saroj Singh, son of Ramayan Singh of village Serana in Rohtas district in 2006 and ever since her in-laws started were torturing her for a motorcycle and when their demand was not met they allegedly killed her.
