Gopalganj: A married woman Reema Kumari was murdered and attempt was made by her in-laws to dispose of her body at village Madhu Sareya under Manjha police station inGopalganj district on Wednesday. On getting information, the local police reached the spot and seized the body.
The deceased’s father Shivnath Ram has lodged a complaint in this regard with police. Reema, daughter of Shivnath Ram of village Narayanpur under Thawe police station, was married to Vinod Ram, a native of village Madhu Sareya, in 2012, and was mother of two sons. Shivnath Ram said that after his daughter’s marriage, her in-laws were demanding Rs 1.50 lakh as dowry and they used to torture her for it. He alleged that his daughter was hanged to death by her in-laws and they were trying to dispose of the body to conceal the crime. Police said that a complaint has been lodged against Vinod Ram, his father Birju Ram and his mother.
