Ara : Puja Devi, 21, was killed at her in-laws’ place at village Semrao under Charpokhari police station on September 16, 2018, night for dowry. The body was disposed off in a haste. A named FIR has been lodged with Charpokhari police station against her husband and in-laws on the statement of her uncle Saroj Rawani but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.
SHO, Charpokhari Police Station, said that Puja Devi of Danwar Kachhawa under Kachhawa police station in Rohtas district was married to Nand Ji Rawani, son of Krishna alias Bhuteli Rajwar of Semrao under Charpokhari police station, a year ago. Her in-laws had been torturing her for more dowry and when their demands were not fulfilled, they killed her and disposed off the body. All the accused are absconding, police said.
