Ara : Bhojpur police recovered body of a married woman from a house at village Siyadih under Charpokhari police station on September 9, 2017, and brought it to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Charpokhari police station against the suspects including the husband and father-in-law of the deceased but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.
The SHO, Charpokhari police station, said that Shoha Devi, 32, was married to Arun Singh Yadav of Siyadih village about 10 years ago and was being tortured mentally and physically ever since allegedly by her in-laws for dowry and when their dowry demands were not met they strangulated her to death and hanged the body with the ceiling of room. Shoha’s in-laws are at large.
