Woman killed for dowry at Bhojpur villag

Ara : Vandana Tiwari , daughter of Sanjay Tiwari of village Bhadesara under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district, was allegedly killed by her in-laws at village Sikraul under Sikarhatta police station in Bhojpur district on April 24, 2017, for a buffalo and a gold chain. Later, they disposed off the body to evade evidence.

An FIR has been lodged with Sikarhatta police station against four persons including deceased’s husband  Dharmendra Pandey, her mother-in-law Sheela Kuer, uncle -in-law Arun Pandey, and grandmother-in-law Dharmsheela Devi but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

SHO, Sikarhatta police station, Kundan Kumar, said that Vandana Tiwari was married to Dharmendra Pandey, son of Bharat Pandey of village Sikraul under Sikarhatta police station in   2013. Vandana Tiwari also had a one- and – a- half year old son. Ever since her marriage, her in-laws and  husband were torturing her for a buffalo and a gold chain and when their demands was not fulfilled, they allegedly killed her.
