Motihari : Urmila Devi, 30, was beaten to death at her house on Tuesday at village Bakarpur under Kalyanpur police station in East Champaran district allegedly by her husband and in- laws over some petty issues. Rajesh Kumar, brother of Urmila, has lodged a case against her husband, mother- in- law ,brother- in -law, sister- in-law in this connection. Police have arrested Binda Devi, mother-in-law of Urmila and remanded to judicial custody. The rest seven accused are evading arrest. Police are investigating the case but the cause behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. The neighbours did not cooperate with police, sources said. The body was sent for post-mortem to Motihari sadar hospital.
