Buxar : A married woman jumped down from a speeding vehicle at Buxar under Buxar Town police station to save her modesty on April 7, 2017. Later, an FIR was lodged with Buxar Town police station on the statement of the woman but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.
SHO, Buxar Town Police Station, Raghav Dayal said that a married woman from Kaimur district had come to Buxar to take a dip in river Ganga. After taking bath in the river at Ram Rekha Ghat, Buxar, she was waiting for a bus at the bus stand when four youth came there in a Bolero saying they were going to Kaimur. The encouraged her to board the vehicle. On way, the youths started teasing her. When she resisted them, the youth beat her up. Sensing that her modesty was at stake, she jumped down from the vehicle but was injured.
