Widow lodges FIR against brother-in-law alleging sexual exploitation

Buxar  : A widow lodged a named FIR against her brother-in-law (husband’s younger brother) with Woman police station, Buxar, on April 7, 2017, for sexually assaulting her with a promise to marry her. SHO, Woman police station, Anchala Kumari said that the woman’s husband died three years back and after that her brother-in-law Bijay Kumar began to assault her sexually promising to marry her very soon.

But, whenever she queried about marriage, Bijay refused under one pretext or the other, the SHO said. On April 6 evening, when she pressurized him for marriage, Bijay Kumar beat her up and bluntly refused to marry her. At this, the woman lodged a named FIR against her brother-in-law though no arrest has so far been made in this regard.
