Woman dies under mysterious circumstances at in-laws’ place at Bhojpur village

Ara : Sunita Devi, 24, died under mysterious circumstances at her in-laws’ place at village Surungapur village under Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district on May 4, 2019. Her family members accused her in-laws of killing her. A named FIR was lodged by Sandesh police station against three persons including the husband of the deceased on the statement of her father Ravindra Singh. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the named accused.

SHO, Sandesh police station, Sudeh Kumar said that Ravindra Singh of village Jahanpur under Chandi police station, married his daughter Sunita Devi to an armyman Indrajeet Singh alias Vigan Singh, son of Lal Babu Singh of Surugapur village under Sandesh police station in 2002. A fews after the marriage, her in-lawsallegedly started torturing her. She complained to her parents about it and when they went to her in-laws to resolve the issue, they allegedly shooed them away. Contact of Sunita Devi with her parents had remained snapped for the last five years. On May 4 morning, an unidentified person informed her parents that she had been killed.

The SHO said that he got information that a married woman had been killed at village Surungapur under Sandesh police station. He along with police personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the body and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Dr Arun, Ara Sadar Hospital, said that the deceased was foaming at mouth and so viscera was preserved for being sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory to know the exact reason behind her death.
