Woman commits suicide at Bhojpur village

Ara : A 22 year old woman committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room at her house at village Babhniawa under Jagdishpur police station on March 24, 2019, late evening, when her husband refused to take her to Ludhiana with him.  Police recovered the body and brought it over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem.

SHO, Jagdishpur police station, said that Neha Devi, 22, daughter of Saroj Prasad of village Sahiyara under Imadpur police station in Bhojpur district, was married to Bikas Kumar of village Babhniawa two years ago and had a four month old son. Bikas Kumar worked at private firm at Ludhiana and had come to his native village to celebrate Holi. His wife Neha Devi was allegedly putting pressure on him to take her to Ludhiana with him but he showed his helplessness and asked her to stay at the village. Upset over his refusal to take her along, Neha Devi hanged herself from the ceiling of her room and committed suicide.
