Ara : Parchuni Devi, wife of Putul Rai of village Balbandh under Charpokhari Police Station in Bhojpur district committed suicide on April 17, 2017, evening. Family dispute is said to be reason behind her suicide.Police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO, Charpokhari police station, said that Putul Rai is an employee in the CISF and his wife Parchuni Devi lived with her mother-in-law with her two children. On April 17 evening, she closed the door of her room and after sprinkling kerosene on her body she set herself ablaze. On getting information, police rushed to the spot and broke open the gate of the room but she had died.
