Patna : Wild Card Thiago Syboth Wild, 19, Brazil, beat 2nd seed Casper Ruud, 21, Norway, in a three-set encounter on March 1, 2020, late night, to lift the singles title at Chile Open, an ATP World Tour 250 red clay courts event, at Santiago, Chile. This Wild’s first ATP tour title. Wild got 250 ATP Rankings points plus cash prize while Ruud got 150 Rankings points plsu cash prize.

Wild, the 2018 US Open Junior Champion, beat Ruud 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 in 2hr 16 minutes in final to win the title. Wild won 4 break points in the match to 3 by Ruud. Both the players won 3 games each in a row in the match. The Brazilian fired 17 Aces in the match to 4 by the Norwegian. Ruud committed 5 double faults to 3 by Wild. Wild won 98 points to 86 by Ruud.
