Bagaha : Jaimati Devi, 40, of village Bagahi Sakhuyati under Raghiya Forests Range in Valmikinagar Tiger Reserve in West Champaran district was attcked and seriously injured on August 10 by a Wild Bear near the forest.
Sources said that the woman had gone to guard crops in her field when she was attacked by a Wild Bear. Hearing her scream, the villagers rushed to her rescue after which the Bear returned to the forest. Jaimati Devi was admitted to Primary Health Centre (PHC), Ramnagar, but the PHC incharge Dr D S Arya referred her to MJK District Hospital, Bettiah, for better treatment.
