Ara : Modesty of a widow was outraged at village Babhaniawa under Jagdishpur police station on September 27, 2018, allegedly by her uncle-in-law and when she protested, he thrashed and injured her. Later, she was admitted to Sadar Hospital, Ara. A named FIR has been lodged with Jagdishpur police station on the statement of the widow but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.
The susvivor, whose husband had died on March 19, 2018, due to brain haemorrhage, said at the Sadar Hospital that she lives at her house at Babhaniawa with her son. On September 27 morning the uncle of her husband, seeing her all alone at the house forcibly outraged her modesty in front of her minor son and when she protested he thrashed and injured her. She also said that her son told everyone about the event but no one believed him.
SHO, Jagdishpur police station, said that after institution of FIR, police were investigating into the incident and added that no one would be spared if found guilty.
