Patna : Wdest Indies (WI) defeated Sri Lanka (SL) by 5 wickets in the 2nd ODI at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua, on March 12, 2021, late night, as opener Evin Lewis scored 103 in 121 balls hitting 8 fours and 4 sixes, his 4th ODI century,  while his opening partner Shai Hope (wk) scored 84 in 108 balls with 6 fours. Lewis and Hope added 192 runs for the first wicket.

Nicholas Pooran remained unbeaten on 35 in 38 balls with 4 fours while Jason Holder remained 2 not out. WI captain Kieron Pollard scored 15 runs hitting 1 four and 1 six while Darren Bravo scored 10 runs hitting a six.

Set a target of 274 runs, WI scored 274/5 in 49.4 overs. Evin Lewis, 29, was named Player Of The Match.  WI had won the toss and opted to bowl. With this win, WI have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. WI had won the three-match T20I series 2-1.

Batting first, SL had scored 273/8 in 50 overs with opener Danushka Gunathilaka scoring 96 in 96 balls with 10 fours and 3 sixes while Dinesh Chandimal (wk) scored 71 in 98 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes.
