New Delhi : A total of 24,882 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,13,33,728 cases in the country at 8 am on March 13, 2021. On the other hand, 19,957 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,09,73,260 in the country on March 13, 2021.

The active cases (2,02,022) accounted for 1.78% of the total cases (1,13,33,728) on March 13, 2021, an increase of 4,785 cases in last 24 hours Of the 1,13,33,728 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in India, altogether 1,09,73,260 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate (RR) being 96.82 % on March 13, 2021.  India has tested 22,58,39,273 samples so far including 8,40,635 samples on March 12, 2021. Meanwhile, 2,82,18,457 persons have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the country so far including 20,53,537 beneficiaries on March 12, 2021.

The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,58,446 in India on March 13,2021, with 140 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 56 in Maharashtra, 34 in Punjab, 14 in Kerala, 5 in Karnataka, 5 in Chhattisgarh, 4 in Haryana, 4 in Tamilnadu, 2 in Delhi, 2 in Madhya Pradesh, 2 in Uttar Pradesh, 1 in West Bengal, 1 in Bihar, and 1 in Andhra Pradesh. India had recorded 117 new deaths on March 12, 2021, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
