Patna : Chasing a target of 468, West Indies (WI) were 45/2 at stumps on Day 3 in their second innings in the 2nd test against India at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica, on September 1, 2019, late night, with Darren Bravo batting on 18 and Shamarh Brooks unbeaten on 4. Opener Kraigg Brathwaite fell to fast bowler Ishant Sharma for 3 while his opening partner John Campbell fell to Mohammad Shami 16 making it 37/2. WI need still 423 runs to win this match.

Earlier, India declared their second innings at 168/4 with Ajinkya Rahane scoring an unbeaten 64 in 109 balls with 8 fours and a six while Hanuma Vihari, who had scored 111 in the first innings, remained unbeaten on 53 in 76 balls with 8 fours adding 111 runs for the 5 wicket. Captain Virat Kohli fell to Kemar Roach for zero while Cheteswar Pujara fell to Jason Holder ( captain) for 27. Openers Lokesh Rahul and Mayank Agarwal scored 6 and 4 runs respectively both getting out to Kemar Roach, who took 3/28 in 10 overs.

India had scored 416 in first innings while WI had scored 117 in their first innings.
