West Champaran DM withholds salary of 6 doctors of MJK Hospital, Bettiah

Bagaha: DM, West Champaran, Lokesh Kumar Singh, has withheld the salary of six doctors MJK district hospital, Bettiah, for  dereliction of duty. The DM issued a circular to this effect on December 17 with copies of the same sent to Principal, Medical college, Bettiah, and Superintendent, MJK hospital, Bettiah. The District Treasury Officer has also been informed about the action taken by the DM against the six doctors.

Official sources said that an Assistant collector, Bettiah, Manish Kumar Meena had conducted a surprised inspection of the hospital on  December 1 and 8 and found six doctors: Dr Subodh Kumar, Dr Ashutosh Kumar, Dr Sudesh Kumar, Dr Abinesh Kumar, Dr Sunil Kumar and Dr Raj Kumar absent from duty. On the basis of the Assistant collector’s reports, the DM examined the matter and issued  show cause notices to the doctors concerned asking them to reply within 24 hours.
