W Champaran DM recommends probe into works of 4 pvt power firms

Bagaha:  DM, West Champaran, Lokesh Kumar Singh, in a communication to Managing Director (MD), North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd (NBPDCL), Patna, on August 2, 2016, has informed him that four private companies includimg Ashok rural electrical, BTL, Vijay electrical and Godrez, which were awarded power construction work including installation of new power transmission wire and new poles in place of old ones under Bagaha sub-sub -division committed gross irregularities due to which many electric poles were uprooted in a hailstorm after few months of their installation and inferior quality of wire snapped at many places.
The DM, in his letter, said that he had got the matter inquired into by constituting a  three-memer team comprising Deputy Collector Land Reforms (DCLR), Bagaha, Gyanchand Yadav, Sub registrar, Bagaha, Dinabandhu and Assistant engineer, electricity, Bagaha, Rajiv Mishra. The inquiry  team detected several many irregularities in power construction work by the private firms, the DM  said in his latter. The DM has requested the MD, NBPDCL, that  on the basis of this inquiry report, he ( the Managing director) should order a probe into the matter and take action accordingly.
