Ara : After assuming the office of Pro-Vice-Chancellor (VC), Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, on May 2, 2017, M M Goyal, said that he would try to take the university to a new height and his main focus would be to regularize the academic calendar, conducting examinations and publication of flawless results on time.

Goyal said the standard of research work will also be upgraded and a number of steps regarding student welfare would be taken. He further added that he would have direct dialogue with students and try to sort out their problems. The Pro VC said that he would also take action to check unfair means at the examination and cooperate with the VC in every possible way. Pro VC Goyal was a professor in the Kurushetra University and has a long administrative experience. He was Dean and Head of the epartment of Economics in the Kurushetra University.

Meanwhile, the VKSU examination department has started preparations for holding the Post Graduate examinations from May 11, 2017. Examination Controller, VKSU, Prasunjay Kumar Sinha said that admit cards of the students had been sent to their respective colleges and PG departments and the same would be distributed from May 5, 2017. He said no student will be allowed to take examination without admit card this time. He said the university administration is determined to conduct fair and peaceful examination.
