Ara: The meeting Veer Kuer Singh University, VKSU, Ara, Syndicate was held under the presidenthsip of the Vice Chancellor Leela Chand Sah on Sunday. It approved the promotion of 235 teachers. The VC said that 169 teachers have been promoted under career advancement scheme while 53 teachers promoted under merit scheme and another 13 teachers under time bound promotion scheme.
The VC said among the teachers promoted under different schemes, 99 were promoted from senior lecture to the Reader rank, 85 teachers from Reader to Professor rank and 22 teachers from lecturer to senior lecturer rank. Nine 9 teachers were promoted from Lecturer to selection grade. Besides, dates of promotion of 20 teachers were also changed.
Sah has directed all the Principals to send the check list of BA Part III within two days to examination section of the university so that process for publication of result could be started. He said the university administration is determined to regularize the session and needs cooperation from all the persons persons. He said the university administration is trying to publish the result in June and start the new session from July.
The VC has directed the principals of all the constituent colleges to send the salary statements and documents related to promotion of non-teaching staff of their college within three days to the university otherwise their salary would be withheld. He warned if the principals fail to send statements and documents on time, they would be held responsible and appropriate action might be taken against them. He also asked the Principals to send salary statements of teachers from March to May this year to the university within two days.
