Ara: Bhojpur police arrested a doctor and his compounder for taking liquor late Saturday evening and brought them to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination.SHO, Nawada police station, said that Bhojpur police arrested Dr Shatrughn Prasad, in-charge medical officer of Primary Health Centre, Kesath, in Buxar district and his compounder, Anil Prasad on the charge of consuming liquor.
The doctor, who was on way to his native village Vishnupura in Bhojpur district along with his compounder by a car started honking horn continuously in a bid to overtake a vehicle of an officer. It raised suspicion and a policeman stopped his car and found them in drunken state. He said that even the breathanalyzer confirmed that they had taken liquor. The doctor also runs a private clinic at Mahavir Tola under Town police station, Ara.
: Patna police with the help of their Bhojpur counterpart conducted raid at village Rudalpur under Pawana police station late Sunday evening on Sunday and arrested Ashok Yadav in connection with firing on a doctor at Dulhinbazaar area in Patna district recently. The police also recovered the key of doctor’s car from his possession. Later, the Patna police took Ashok Yadav with them to Patna.SHO Pawana police station said that some armed miscreants had fired and attempted to kidnap a doctor when he was returning home after closing his clinic at Dulhinbazaar area in Patna district.
