Ara: Teaching of Mass Communication and Safety Management is likely to start from the next academic session in Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara. The university administration is trying very hard to start employment oriented vocational courses in the interest of students. The Academic Council and Syndicate of the university have approved the proposal and the matter has been sent to the office of the chancellor for his approval.

Vice-Chancellor, VKSU, Leela Chand Sah said that besides Mass Communication and Safety Management, the university is to ready to start LLM and M.Ed courses as well. He said the if the Academic Council of the university approves proposal to start of LLM and M.Ed courses at its meeting on July 5,2016, the university administration would send the proposal to the office of the Chancellor for his approval.

The VC ordered all the Centre Superintendents to send answer- books of the subsidiary subjects of the BA Part I directly to the evaluation centres without any delay. The answer- books from Bhojpur and Buxar districts must be sent to Sri Shankar College, Sasaram, and those from Rohtas and Kaimur to Jagjiwan College, Ara, evaluation centres by June 28, 2016, but the answer – books of Honours papers would be sent to the education department at VKSU, VC Sah said.

The VC said the examination department has announced date for the practical examination of B A Part I and it would be held from July 2 to July 14. The candidates would take their practical examination at their respective colleges. D K College, Dumraon, has been made centre for the students of DKM, Dumari college, and Tapeshwar-Indu Mahila College, Bikramganj, for Veer Kuer Singh College, Dharupur, and RKS College, Dalmianagar, for J J College, Dehri-on-Sone.

The VC has also directed the Principals of all the colleges to receive the marksheets of B A Part III from the university and distribute the same among the students at the earliest. He said at least 20 colleges have not received the marksheets from the university so far. He also asked the students to submit an application to the examination department of the university after getting it forwarded from their colleges for correction in their marksheets if any anomaly is detected.

The VC said that some degree colleges were reportedly realizing excess amount from the students at the time of admission and directed the college administrations not to do so otherwise action would be taken against them. The VC also said that the university administration has directed the Principals of all the colleges to transfer those employees who are posted at a place for the last several years. He said the transfer is must for qualitative improvement in working.
