Ara : Students of different colleges under Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, are quite confused due to frequently changing decision of the university on admission front delaying the academic session.
The VKSU administration had opted for centralized admission of students for 2017 -2020 academic session in BA/B.Sc/B.Com but the university administration, taking a U-turn, issued an order on August 21, 2017, to all the colleges under the university to accept admission forms online and directed them to complete it by August 31, 2017.
The colleges issued direction for submitting admission forms online and the students followed it. At least 100 students seeking admission to Mahanth Mahadevanand Mahila Mahavidyalaya (MMMM), Ara, applied online for admission on a single day and the coupons were issued to them. As the admission process started, the VKSU administration once again changed its decision and ordered for centralized admission that put the students and even the colleges in a fix and also put a big question mark on the credibility of the university.
After the new direction of the University for centralized admission, the admission process in colleges stopped. Now the students are afraid of losing their fees and expenses at the cybercafes though the Principal, MMMM, Kamini Sinha, assured them that their fees would be returned if they show coupons but she kept mum over expenses at the cafe.
Vice-Chancellor, VKSU, Sayyad Mumjazuddin said that the university administration has decided to return the money of the students who had submitted online application for admission. Replying to a query, the VC said that decision on expense incurred at the cyberafes will be taken soon.
