Ara: With the publication of results of Intermediate Arts, Science and Commerce, students have started making beeline to different colleges under Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, for admission. The university administration has also geared for the occasion and announced date of admission to BA, BSc and B.Com Part I courses. The university administration hopes their would be less rush of students this year compared to last year as Intermediate exam results were not so good.
Vice ChancellorVC), VKSU, Leela Chand Sah said the university administration was determined the regularize the session and had directed principals of all the colleges under the VKSU to complete admission process by June 30 and start classes for the new session from July 4. He said online filling of forms and admission has been started in all the constituent college under VKSU and the students may fill up forms online by getting coupons from the colleges. After the process of submission of admission forms is complete, merit lists would be published and the students would be admitted on that basis. He has directed the college administrations to maintain transparency in admission.
The VC has also directed the principals of all the constituent and affiliated colleges under VKSU not to admit students exceeding the allotted quota. He said students can get information about number of seats and faculties from the university website before taking admission in a college. After getting full information regarding faculty and seats, they should take admission, advised the VC and directed the college administration to upload required information regarding seats and faculty in their college website too. He also advised the students that they should tally their admission with the receipts given by the college administration to ascertain whether the were admitted exceeding the allotted quota.
The VC asked the employees of the colleges and university to complete their pending work during summer vacation. He said summer vacation of the colleges and university started from May 30 and would continue till June 30 but the offices of colleges and university would remain open and the employees would complete the pending works during the vacation and added only teaching works would remain suspended during the period. He also advised the college administrations to complete the work for accreditation with the NAAC.
