Ara : Veer Kuer Singh University, Ara, on September 2, 2017, cancelled the BSc Part II Physics examination held at Veer Kuer Singh College, Ara, on September 1 following reports of mass cheating. A photograph of many students sitting on the floor of the college verandah with books on had gone viral on the social media on September 1. The college is affiliated to VKSU.

Education Minister Krishnandan Verma said that a probe will be ordered into the mass copying and the culprits will not be spared.

VKSU VC Syed Mumtazuddin said the university had received information about use of unfair means at the examination besides proxy candidates appearing at the examination on September 1. The univesity has  cancelled the first sitting examination at Veer Kuer Singh College centre, he said adding the decision was taken by the exam board. The university will announce the next date of examination of the said paper soon.  The universiy has removed the Center Superintendent of the college, he said.
