Bagaha : An irate mob of villagers on March 19, 2017, morning placed body of one Bansalram, 70, of village Kotaraha on Bagaha-Valmikinagar road near village Lakshmipur under Valmikinagar police station in West Champaran district and paralysed the road communication for hours to protesthis death in an accident on March 18 evening. They were demanding adequate copensation to the kin of the deceased.

Sources said that Bansalram, who was returning to his house from village Bhisaha village on March 18 evening, was dashed by a tractor-trailer while crossing the road and injured seriously. He was being taken to hospital but died on the way. His family members and neighbours on paralysed the road traffic for hours by placed the body on the road on March 19 morning.

Getting the information, Valmikinagar police station SHO Bhagat Lal Mandal and other officials reached the spot and persuaded the people to lift the blockade after giving them positive assurances. The tractor-trailer was seized by  police but the driver is still at large. The deceased’s son Malayee Ram has lodged a case with police station in connection with the accident, the SHO said.
