Darbhanga : Former Engineer-in-chief – cum Administrator, Suvarnrekha Project of Water Resources Department, Kameshwar Jha, 76, died at his New Balbhadrapur, Laheriasarai, residence in Darbhanga district  on March 19, 2017, evening. He was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease for the last 8 months. He was a native of village Tharhi in Madhubani  district. He retired in 1999 and was involved in social works after that.

Former Bihar CM Jagannath Mishra, former minister Nitish Mishra, BJP spokespersons Vinod Narain Jha, MLC, Suman Kumar Mahaseth, MLC, President, Bihar Pensioner Samaj, I C Kumar, Madhubani District BJP president Ghanshyam Thakur, Jhanjharpur BJP president Siyaram Sahu, BJP leader Kamlesh Jha and Rajnagar MLA Ramprit Paswan have mourned Kameshwar Jha. Kameshwar Jha, an expert in flood management, is survived by his wife, two sons and four daughters.
