Villagers block Pawana Chowk in Bhojpur after death of youth in accident

Ara : Angry over the death of a youth Bhikhan Musahar of village Mishraulia Jhura under Pawana police station in an accident on March 3, 2020, the villagers blocked Pawana Chowk in Bhojpur District with the body paralysing the movement of vehicles, raising slogans against the district administration, demanding action against the erring doctor, and a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased.The blockade was continuing till the filing of this report though police personnel are trying their best to remove it. The youth was seriously injured in an accident on March 2, 2020.

The injured person succumbed to his injuries during treatment on March 3, 2020, at a hospital in Bhojpur district. Hearing the news of his death, the villagers got agitated and  blocked Pawana Chowk with the body of the deceased.

SHO,  Pawana police station, said Bhikhan Musahar had gone to meet his sister at village Chilhar under Azimabad police station in Bhojpur district. When he was returning to his native village, a speeding tractor knocked him down injuring him seriously near a bridge over Dihara river on March 2, 2020. He was admitted to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The villagers alleged that the youth died immediately after  the doctor administered an injection to him.
