Bettiah : A Sub-Inspector (SI) of police Shyamanand Jha of Bairia police station in West Champaran district in North Bihar was allegedly thrashed by a group of villagers at Bheriharawa on September 10, 2018, evening.
Source said that the SI along with a section police force had gone to the village after getting information about a land dispute between Pawan Yadav and Chanchal Sah. Suddenly, some supporters of Sah attacked the police team in which SI Jha sustained serious head injuries and was admitted to MJK Hospital, Bettiah. A case was lodged against more than a dozen persons with Bairia police station in this connection. Police have arrested three persons for attacking the cops creating obstruction in performance of their duty.
