Patna: Sleuths of the State Vigilance Investigation Bureau on December 21  simultaneously raided the houses of Superintendent Engineer with Rural Works Department (RWD) Om Prakash Manjhi in connection with a DA case. The raids are being conducted at Manjhi’s ancestral house in Saran and two MIG flats (flat number- 208 and Flat number-2) in Hanuman Nagar, Patna. His office in Siwan was also searched.

Vigilance sources said that the sleuths laid hands on gold jewellery worth Rs 13 lakh and Rs. 2 lakh cash in Rs 2,000 denomination during the raid in the two flats in Patna. The raids were going on till the time of filing the report, though State Vigilance Investigation Bureau officials remained tightlipped about the recovery.
