Vigilance Bureau team arrests Clerk accepting Rs 1.77 lakh as bribe in W Champaran

Bettiah : A State Vigilance Investigation Bureau vigilance team from Patna led by its DSP Gopal Paswan on April 4, 2019,  caught a Clerk ( Establishment) of District Education office, West Champaran, Fakarey Alam, a resident of Manjharia under Mainatand police station in the district, for accepting over Rs 1.77 lakh as bribe.

Acting on a complaint filed by one Qaiser Ali, Pradhan Maulvi of Islamia Madrasa at Yogapatti in the district, that the Clerk is demanding a bribe cash over Rs 1.77 lakh, the vigilance team laid a trap and arrested red handed Fakarey Alam accepting the bribe amount from his office at Bettiah on April 4. Alam had demanded the bribe to clear the payment of 18 months’ salary arrears of four teachers. The arrested clerk was taken to Patna by the Vigilance team.
