Principal A S Gangwar releases Annual Planner of DPS Bokaro ‘Johar Jharkhand’

Bokaro (Jharkhand) : DPS Bokaro Principal A S Gangwar on April 4, 2019, released the Annual Planner of the school focusing on the theme Johar Jharkhand depicting the rich culture of Jharkhand. It includes the various facets like musical instruments, archaeology, craft, dances, jewellery, costume, art and festivals of Jharkhand.

The planner exhibits the artistic talents of the students of DPS Bokaro and includes paintings contributed by the students: Flora and Fauna of Jharkhand by Raya Ojha of class VI; Costume and Jewellery by Sadaf Mohsin Zafar of class IX; Dhokra Art by Anurag Kumar of class IX; Paitkar Painting by Aayush Keshri of class VI ; Bamboo and Terracotta Craft by Ayush Amlan of class X; Karma Festival by Aparajita of class X; Chhau Dance & Chhau Mask by Piyush of class VI; Paika Dance  by Muskan Priya of class X; Maluti Mandir by Tanushree Layak of  class VI; Tusu Festival by Tanu Shree of class IX; Soharai Painting by Yashi Singh of class VI, and Musical Instruments by Sheetal Rajput of  class VI.

Addressing the students on the occasion, Gangwar said that through this planner we have tried to uphold the rich cultural heritage of Jharkhand and to make the students aware of different aspects of their state. He informed that the planner contains various schedules including various examinations, scholastic and co-scholastic activities along with dates for the vacations that will help the students to plan their academic and extra-curricular activities and utilization of holidays.

Vice-Principals Pravin Kumar Sharma, P Shailaja Jaykumar, Dr Manisha Tiwari along with Headmaster and Headmistresses were also present on the occasion.
