Ara : Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, has debarred the Veer Kuer Singh College, Ara,  for three years as exam centre after report of mass cheating at the BA/B. Sc/ B.Com Part II examination at the centre on September 1, 2017.

Vice-Chancellor, VKSU, Sayyed Mumtazuddin said that Part II of graduation level examinations were held  at 41 centres on September 1 in Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur and Rohtas district but use of unfair means was reported only from the Veer Kuer Singh College examination centre, Ara. The VC said no examination will be held at the Veer Kuer Singh College, Ara, for three years and added that if such incident is repeated in future, affiliation of the college might be cancelled. He said a three- men inquiry committee has been constituted to inquire into matter and if involvement of Principal, teachers or employees was reported in the inquiry committee report, an FIR will also be lodged with the police against them.

The VC stated that the VKSU administration has directed all the Principals not to hold examination of too many papers exceeding their capacity and added that he would not tolerate use of unfair means at the examination at any cost.
