VC, VKSU, threatened with dire consequences, FIR lodged against 8 students

Ara : Some students threatened the Vice-Chancellor of Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, Nand Kishor Sah, with dire consequences on February 22, 2019. An FIR was lodged with Nawada police station on February 25, 2019, against eight students including the former students’ union president on the statement of Proctor, VKSU, Shiv Parsan Singh.

Vice-Chancellor, VKSU, Nand Kishor Sah said that eight students including the former Students’ Union president Amit Kumar Singh entered his chamber on February 22, 2019, and demanded to allow the student leaders to attend the meeting of the Senate and also allow them to vote at the meeting. But, the VC rejected their demands saying the Students’ Union election is scheduled to be held on April 3, 2019, and the date of the Senate meeting had already been announced. As the VC refused to consider their demands, the students allegedly threatened him with dire consequences and said they would hamper the Senate meeting.

The VC said that he tried to make the students understand the situation but they remained unmoved and left the chamber threatening him with dire consequences once again. He said a named FIR has been lodged with Nawada police station against eight students including former students’ Union president Amit Kumar Singh, Sushil Singh Tiger, Chhotu Singh, Bhupendra Thakur, Chandan Tiwari, Raj Pandey, Rishikesh Pandey and Anurag Singh in this connection.
