Ara : Civil Surgeon, Bhojpur, Dr Jagdish Singh, and Superintendent, Sadar Hospital, Ara, Dr Satish Kumar Sinha, jointly inaugurated a free Acupressure cum Yoga Kendra organised by the Lok Jagriti Ara and Ayush College, Hospital and Research Centre, on the campus of the Sadar Hospital on February 25, 2019, by lighting the ceremonial candle. Secretary, Lok Jagriti Ara, conducted the meeting and Nirmala Sinha extended vote of thanks.
Civil Surgeon Dr Jagdish Singh said that people are suffering pains in body and allopathic medicine only provide partial relief not cure it and ultimately cause side effects. He said that one could get permanent relief from pains with acupressure without side effects and medicine.
Superintendent, Ara Sadar Hospital, Dr Satish Kumar Sinha said that Acupressure cum Yoga centre is opened on the campus of the Sadar Hospital for the benefits of the poor and they could benefit from it free of cost twice a week.
President, Bihar Health Service Association (BHSA), Dr Arun Kumar, Secretary, BHSA, Dr Naresh Prasad, and a cardiologist Dr K N Singh said if acupressure is linked with allopathic, the dose of the medicine would be reduced and people may get respite from side effect. They said that acupressure is now scientifically proved as one of the best therapies and added that acupressure therapy is beneficial for the people suffering from diabetics, hypertension, thyroid, migraine and other diseases. They said that acupressure is established these days and every therapy is complementary and not perfect in itself. They exhorted the people to adopt acupressure to lead a healthy life.
Dr Rajeshwar Ojha, Dr Pintu Pushkar, Arti Srivastava, Renu Devi, Prakash Ranjan and Nand Kishor were also present on the occasion.
