Ara : The future of thousands of students, who took admission in various courses in different colleges under Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, in the academic session 2018-2021, is at stake as their registration would not be accepted by the university administration as the colleges concerned are running these faculties without recognition from the university. Vice-Chancellor (VC), VKSU, Devi Prasad Tiwari, has directed officials to return the registration forms to the colleges concdrned. The VC also directed them to return the registration forms of students received from the colleges that had admitted students exceeding the numbers of seats allotted to them.
Examination Coordinator, VKSU, Sanjay Kumar Tripathi, said that the university administration had received complaints  regarding faculties being run by different colleges under the university without recognition. The college administrations were also admitted students exceeding the number of seats sanctioned to them.
The VC, VKSU, taking serious note of the complaint, had set up a committee to inquire into the recognition and number of seats allotted to different colleges. During investigation, a startling facts came to fore, said Sanjay Kumar Tripathi and added that not to speak of affiliated colleges, at least six constituent colleges were also found running of faculties illegally admitting students  exceeding the number of seats allotted to them. Now the registration and examination forms of such students would not be entertained.
Tripathi said that Maharaja College, Ara, has no recognition for Commerce and Sociology, M V College, Dumraon, has no recognition for Commerce, D K College, Dumraon, has no recognition of History and Urdu, Shankar College and Shershah College, Sasaram, and G B College, Ramgarh, have no recognition for Science faculties but are running those courses. Besides, Mahila College, Dalmianagar, HD Jain College, Maharaja College, S B College, Ara, and Rohtas Mahila College, Sasaram, had taken admission of students exceeding the number of seats allotted to them. The VC directed the officials concerned to return the registration forms of all such students.
VC, VKSU, Devi Prasad Tiwari, said that the college administrations are responsible for taking admission of students in the unrecognized facultie. The registration forms of the students have been returned, the VC said. He said that no college would be tagged to another college for registration.
Registrar, VKSU, Col Shyamanand Jha, said that the action was taken to stop the recalcitrant college administration from repeating the same mistake in future. He said that these colleges had made the same mistake in the academic session of 2017-2020 too but the VKSU administration in the larger interest of students had tagged them with another colleges with stern warning not to repeat the mistake in future  but the college administration did not pay heed to the warning and admitted  students to unrecognized faculties.
