UP sharpshooter Sonu arrested in Neeraj Singh murder case

Dhanbad ( Jharkhand): A Special task Force (STF)  team of Uttar Pradesh succeeded in nabbing the much wanted  Sonu alias Qurban Ali, a sharp shooter  of Uttar Pradesh, on June 23, 2017,evening. He was arrested from Varanasi cantonment (UP). Sonu was wanted in murder case of former Dhanbad Deputy Mayor and senior congress leader Neeraj Singh who along with four others were shot dead near Dhanbad Steel gate on March 21, 2017.

Another shooter of  UP  Aman Kumar is already in Dhanbad jail  in this murder case and as per police both these shooters were promised Rs 5 lakh each and had received Rs 50,000 each as advance.

It may be mentioned here that Jharia BJP MLA Sanjiv Singh  besides four others  have been arrested in connection with Neeraj Singh murder case. Dhanbad SSP R M Chouthey confirmed  the arrest of Sonu who according to him was being brought over to Dhanbad.
